Terms of Service

Briefly connects work accounts you choose (Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack) in read-only mode and generates AI-written briefings from them, on a schedule you set or on demand. Briefly never sends, replies, deletes, archives, schedules, or modifies anything in your connected accounts.

• You must sign in with a Google account you control and provide accurate information.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for only connecting accounts and workspaces you are authorized to connect — including having any permission your employer or client requires.
• You may stop using the service, disconnect sources, or request account deletion at any time (see our Privacy Policy).

You agree not to:

• use the service to violate any law or the terms of Google, Slack, or any connected platform;
• attempt to access other users' data, probe or disrupt the service, or circumvent its security or rate limits;
• resell or provide the service to third parties without our written permission.

The service depends on third-party platforms (Google APIs, Slack API) and an AI provider (Anthropic). Their availability and terms are outside our control; connecting a source also subjects that data flow to the relevant platform's terms. Google's and Slack's trademarks belong to their owners; Briefly is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google or Slack.

Briefings and chat answers are generated by AI from the data available at run time. They can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Where a source could not be checked, the briefing says so — but you are responsible for verifying anything you act on. Briefings are informational output, not professional advice.

You retain all rights to your data and to the briefings generated from it. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the service (fetching, storing, processing, and displaying your data to you). The Briefly software, brand, and design remain our property.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim (or USD 50 if you paid nothing).

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create security risk, and we may discontinue the service with reasonable prior notice. Upon termination your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in the product before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
